Join The Wild Source America for Denver’s newest and wildest time out – a Rocky Mountain Arsenal wildlife safari aboard the one-of-a-kind Roaming Bison safari vehicle.
Your wildlife biologist guide will be your host and driver, as well as resident Rocky Mountain Arsenal animal expert, from small and large mammals to the large variety of birds you may see. Travel in the fully outfitted Roaming Bison for supreme, African-safari style comfort and amenities including a pop-top roof allowing for 360-degree wildlife viewing and photography. Behind the driver/passenger row we have just six upgraded bucket seats on adjustable tracks, each with a window view – no backseat or obstructed views possible here.
This photographic safari is available year-round, and for maximum comfort no matter the weather (Colorado, right?) we have front and rear air conditioning/heat, and a refrigerator to keep water and soft drinks chilled to perfection. The Roaming Bison also travels with a high quality spotting scope and binoculars for those that need them to enhance your wildlife observations. The design includes a special lip to place bean bags and/or is ideal to attach a swivel mount for cameras.
The Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge is an urban oasis of 15,000 acres, just 10 miles northeast of Downtown Denver. The refuge supports populations of bison, coyote, mule deer, white-tailed deer, bald eagles, hawks, burrowing owls, prairie dogs and so much more. If you are lucky you might even see one of North America’s most endangered mammals – the famous Black-footed ferret. In all there are more than 330 species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish.
