This is the opportunity of a lifetime to go on safari with The Wild Source’s unbeatable big cat biologist-guiding team of Fadhil Magoye and David Maira. These guides have an unrivaled passion for the wilds of Tanzania, and have the skills and knowledge to match. The knowledge of big cats and overall wildlife behavior between these guides is astounding and they are ready to share it all with their guests on this safari. The group size is guaranteed to be small, with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of just 8 guests.
This safari has been custom designed to provide the quintessential Tanzania safari experience – staying under canvas and traversing wide open plains teeming with animals in amazing quantities. The safari is focused on having the highest quality wildlife viewing, with top guiding and time to view the fascinating behavior of animals.
Your group will visit three distinct areas of the Serengeti ecosystem. The Serengeti is likely the most famous wildlife area in the world and rightly so with the migration of over 2 million large grazing animals and large populations of big cats. Spend 4 nights in Ndutu/Southern Serengeti, the pinnacle region for the Calving Season as you track down the Great Migration herds gathered en masse for their synchronized birthing cycle. Ndutu in Calving Season is also the best time and place in the world to view cheetah hunting. At Njozi Camp, you will also have the opportunity to help collect data on the cheetahs in this region for use in The Wild Source Foundation’s cheetah monitoring app.
In the Central Serengeti, spend 2 nights in the remote eastern plains known for stunning scenery and cheetahs stalking the plains. This is the least crowded area o the Central region yet one of the most prolific areas for big cat viewing. Conclude your ultimate Serengeti safari with 3 nights at a luxury lodge (at excellent low season value!) in the beautiful Wogakuria Hills of the vast, remote Northern Serengeti. The majority of safarigoers are in the Southern Serengeti at this time of year for the calving season, so having spent ample time there already, you’ll finish your experience with complete exclusivity in the uncrowded North which has amazing resident wildlife year round.
The Wild Source Tanzania has earned a reputation for producing exceptional results for both quantity and quality of wildlife viewing – with special abilities for observing big cats and the great migration. We have developed an extraordinary formula that is unsurpassed. Key ingredients are remarkable guides, enhanced designs on vehicles, passion, energy, care, wildlife biologists, emphasis on locations for the season, and flexibility.
