Price From: $8,850 per person sharing
Trip Dates: Mar 11th – Mar 21st, 2020
Trip Length: 11 days
Join International Big Cat Researcher, Bill Given, on this one-of-a-kind expedition designed for big cat aficionados! We have crafted a rare itinerary that combines the forests of India with the open plains of Kenya’s fabled Masai Mara to create a high chance of observing the four largest cat species in the Eastern hemisphere; tiger, lion, leopard and cheetah (some will list snow leopard as larger than cheetah based on the record individual specimen but cheetah are heavier on average). As the apex predators in these dynamic systems the big cats make the best wildlife managers, meaning where the cats are doing well we are able to enjoy a great overall diversity of wildlife.
This safari features a number of exceptional factors to ensure the highest quality wildlife viewing experience:
- Remarkable Guiding & Wildlife Biologists
- Full Day Permits
- Small Group Size
- Plenty of Vehicle Space
- Legendary Extension to Kenya’s Masai Mara
Realm of the Jaguar with Ocelot Research – 2020

Brazil’s Pantanal has an unrivaled claim as South America’s top wildlife viewing region. In fact, many say it’s the top wildlife area outside of Africa. Pantanal is the world’s largest wetland, a staggering ten times the size of the Everglades and fifteen times the size of the famed Okavango Delta. Like Botswana’s Okavango there is a fantastic variety of habitats including wetlands, savanna, riverine gallery forests, and cerrado (forested savanna). A number of rivers form the lifeblood of the Pantanal, and these have become reliable areas for sighting jaguars. During our time of travel there is an astounding 95% daily success rate along the rivers for observing the world’s third largest cat.
This safari is led by big cat researcher, Bill Given, and this combination of exploring The Pantanal’s waterways by private chartered boat, with a prime land based area in the wild southern Pantanal delivers a remarkable wildlife experience (especially for cat fanatics).
Guides Without Borders Led by Bill Given
Price From: $9,950 per person sharing
Trip Dates: Jan 15th – 29th, 2020
Trip Length: 15 days
The Wild Source is leading a movement that we have coined ‘Disruptive Empowerment’. We have recognized that the most critical factor on every safari is the guiding! We are empowering local guides to create special safari camps where the guides are Owners! The result has been remarkable, creating what could be considered Endangered species in the safari industry – Authentic camps that put full emphasis on the game viewing, exceptional guiding, include local people in ownership, and are Owner operated and hosted.
In January 2019, Bill Given, the Founder of The Wild Source and Conservation Biologist made a whirlwind tour to kick off the year with a quick visit to each of the camps we helped empower (with stops in Ndutu/Serengeti, Masai Mara, and the Okavango Delta). Add to all of this a once in a lifetime event, as we deliver on a Maasai dream when we take legendary Kenyan guide, Ping, to Botswana for the first time – something he has wanted to do for more than 20 years and now it is going to happen as we introduce Maasai to Bushman.

Save the Rhino Walking Safari
Price From: $5,500 per person sharing
Trip Dates: June 16-24, 2020
Trip Length: 7 days
In Namibia’s far northwest Kunene region (also known as Kaokoland) black rhinos were almost extinct thirty years ago. Today, Kunene has the largest number of free-roaming black rhino in the world – the only rhino worldwide living on communally and traditionally-owned land without formal conservation status. Namibia created a culture of good human-wildlife interactions by involving communities, employing locals in anti-poaching patrols and generating income from rhino-related tourism.
We will be walking in an area where other tourists don’t get to go and the only people operating here are the Save the Rhino Team scouts patrolling
