Kulala Desert Lodge
The entrance to Kulala Desert Lodge is located 17km south of Sesriem. Situated on the 210 square kilometer private Kulala Wilderness Reserve, this is the only lodge in the area with such spectacular views over the Namib “sand sea.” Guests who stay here are literally within steps away from the red desert dunes.
Kulala Desert Lodge consists of 15 thatched/ canvas chalets named after an Oshiwambo word, Kulala, meaning sleep. Each room has en-suite bathrooms and showers. They also have a flat rooftop where more adventurous guests can choose to sleep under the stars.
Guests can relax in the main lounge, bar, dining area, plunge pool or along the wrap-around veranda overlooking the waterhole where local wildlife such as oryx, springbok, ostrich and black-backed jackal are frequently seen.
