The 5-star Doro Nawas Camp is situated on a rugged, rocky hill on the edge of the Aba Huab River. The camp has spectacular views of the Etendeka Mountains and the red sandstone cliffs of Twyfelfontein.
This fairly new camp has a reputation for working closely with the local community. The camp comprises of 16 chalets with stone foundations, canvas walls and a thatched roof. Each chalet has an open floor plan with a large double bed, en-suite bathroom with flush toilet, shower and twin washbasin. There is also a ceiling fan and a couple padded wicker chairs to relax in.
Sliding glass doors open out onto a verandah with magnificent views. There is also an outdoor shower. Guests also have the option to wheel their beds outside and sleep underneath the starry sky. The lodge’s power is supplied by a generator.
