Because Footsteps in Africa has always been a leader in good value pricing they currently have no high season specials to the public, as their standard rates actually remain favorably competitive with other operators specials. However, The Wild Source has created our own generous specials for travel from April through November to include all of the high season and shoulder seasons. We will discount all accommodation in Footsteps in Africa camps significantly for itineraries of 6 nights or more. I believe these deals are the best value high quality safaris available in Botswana! Because of the large number of camps and custom combinations it is necessary to contact us for specific details.


• Kalahari Summer Special remains the most affordable deal that includes camps in private concessions in Botswana. The special covers travel during December 2009 through March 2010 and The Wild Source rate is $300 per person per night and there is no single supplement on accommodation.

Mapula Lodge, Delta Camp, Santawani Lodge, Grassland Bushman Lodge, Oddballs Camp, Oddballs Enclave, Meno A Kwena, and a number of Fly Camps inside of National Park and Game Reserve Areas (Chobe Fly Camp, Khwai Fly Camp, Savuti Fly Camp, Xakanaxa Fly Camp) are all included in these deals.

Kwando Safaris Specials and Deals

• The Wild Source exclusive Kwando Special. For travel during the high season of June through October we will discount all accommodation in Kwando camps for any itinerary that includes six nights or more in a combination of Kwando Kwara Camp, Little Kwara, Kwando Lagoon Camp, and Kwando Lebala Camps. Because each itinerary is customized please contact us to see the specific excellent deal we can apply to your quote. Additionally, with 6 nights between any of the aforementioned camps we will offer nights at the new Nxai Pan Camp and Tau Pan Camp for a discounted $315 per person per night (regular rack rate is $480).


• 5 Rivers Special for Botswana’s green season has for years been one of the best safari deals in existence. It continues for travel during December 2009 through March 2010 and The Wild Source rate is $350 per person per night with no single supplement on accommodation. This special includes Kwara, Lebala, Lagoon, and the new Nxai Pan Camp and Tau Pan Camp – both of which are in their prime game viewing at this time of year.

Wilderness Safaris Specials and Safari Deals

• Pay for 6 nights and receive a 7th free (depending on camps about 14% discount). Abu and Mombo Camps are not eligible for the deal and the free night must take place at one of the camps already on the itinerary. All nights must be in one country. This deal is for travel during the shoulder and greens seasons, now through June 30th as well as November 2009 through May 2010.


• Free Night at Kalahari Plains Camp. Book a combo of Kalahari Plains Camp (minimum 3 nights) with any other Wilderness Safaris camp (minimum 3 nights) and get the 3rd night at Kalahari Plains for free. Valid for travel from July through November 2009.
